Derek McGrath's 'man-management' skills are second to none, according to Stephen Bennett.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's All-Ireland U-21 HC semi-final against Antrim, Bennett highlighted the role that McGrath has played in Waterford's rise up the hurling ranks.

"Derek McGrath was devastated but he was brilliant," Bennett told The Irish Daily Star.

"He thanked everyone and told the Under-21s to drive it on now and try and go and win this, to raise the spirits.

"His man-management is brilliant, he is brilliant with the way that he deals with the players.

"They have everything off to a tee now. It's a very, very good set-up there.

"I don't know is it essential that he stays, I'm not sure. He is brilliant and every one of the players is happy everything is going well."
