St Patrick's captains Karl White and Paddy Keenan proudly lift the Joe Ward Cup in Drogheda.

Former All Star Paddy Keenan won another Louth SFC medal at Drogheda as St. Patrick's defeated first-time finalists Sean O'Mahony's by 1-14 to 0-9.

Aidan McCann's second half goal paved the way for what was a comfortable Joe Ward Cup success in the end for the reigning champions from Lordship.

In the Wicklow and Kildare SHC finals, Bray Emmets and Coill Dubh both retained their crowns. Bray eased to a 1-18 to 1-9 victory over traditional giants Carnew Emmets in Aughrim, while Coill Dubh edged out Ardclough 0-15 to 1-10 in Newbridge.

The Carlow SHC final will be contested by Mount Leinster Rangers and St. Mullin's after their respective semi-final wins over Naomh Eoin and Ballinkillen at Netwatch Cullen Park. Navan O'Mahonys joined Na Fianna in the Meath SFC final after beating Dunboyne 0-22 to 2-13, while Tipperary will have new football champions this year after Clonmel Commercials saw off the holders Loughmore-Castleiney 2-12 to 1-7 at the quarter-final stage.

Clontibret's reign is also over in Monaghan after they lost today's semi-final to Monaghan Harps 1-10 to 2-12.

Meanwhile, Portlaoise's grip on the Laois SFC title shows no signs of loosening after they overcame Arles-Killeen 1-17 to 1-11 to qualify for yet another county final. The other semi-final between Glenn Ryan's Arles-Kilcruise and Emo ended in a 1-10 to 0-13 draw.

In the Limerick SFC semi-finals, Ballylanders were dethroned by Newcastlewest on a 2-4 to 3-11 scoreline, while Drom-Broadford were 1-13 to 2-6 winners over Monaleen.

Finally, a Thomas Ryan-inspired Tallow are through to the Waterford SHC final after seeing off Ballyduff Upper 1-14 to 0-16. The other semi-final between Ballygunner and Fourmilewater was postponed as a mark of respect to Ballygunner clubman Paul Foley, who died during the week.
