Dublin stalwart Johnny McCaffrey says Waterford's hurlers have been "a breath of fresh air" this year.

The Dubs and Derek McGrath's team will do battle in a mouth-watering All-Ireland quarter-final at Semple Stadium on Sunday and McCaffrey admires what Na Deise - league winners and Munster finalists - have brought to the table so far in 2015:

"I've seen a few of their games this year," the Lucan Sarsfields clubman states in The Irish Independent. "The main thing that stands out about them is that they work very hard for each other. They are a very good hurling side but they work extremely hard and try get as many men on the ball. . . not just behind the ball but on the ball, and the right men on the ball as well.

"They have been a breath of fresh air and they have added massively to the championship. It's a big challenge for us.

"It is a bit different but we have played against sweepers. The key thing is to try to be patient. You can go in and try win the game in ten minutes and then fall flat on your face.

"You just have to be patient; things are not going to go well all the time, a lot of ball is going to go to their hands, so you just have to be ready to counteract that when they get the ball."
