Minors to up the ante

April 15, 2015

Waterford minors are determined to make up for their heart-breaking defeat to Tipperary in the Munster MHC, according to their manager Sean Lyons.

For long periods, Waterford looked to be the better side in their clash at Semple Stadium last week, but for some questionable refereeing decisions, the outcome could have been different.

Speaking to the Waterford News & Star, Lyon stressed that they were keen to make amends when they take on Limerick in a play-off on May 6th.

"They are a great bunch of lads and anything we have asked them to do, they have done it. We are sickened to lose. We made a pact amongst ourselves and we are going to go twice as hard for the next few weeks. We know lads have exams but we have factored in exams all along.

"We time our sessions so that they can get their study done. Their release is to come and enjoy their training. We will do the same for the next four weeks."
