UL are the Fitzgibbon Cup champions after seeing off WIT in tonight's final replay at Pairc Ui Rinn.

A dominant first half display has the winners 1-9 to 0-6 ahead, although there was some good fortune for the goal with Daire Quinn's long delivery ending up in the WIT net.

Man of the Match Tony Kelly was outstanding for UL as he landed crucial scores and drove his side on constantly.

The scores continued to flow after the break but unfortunately for WIT it was UL who had the better of it once again and when Tommy Heffernan hit a second goal in the final quarter, the winners led by 2-18 to 0-11.

WIT showed some pride at the end as they rattled off the last 1-3 of the game with the goal coming from Gavin O'Brien.
