As it happened: Saturday Match Tracker

Down's Arthur McConville with Cavan's Rory Dunne during the McKenna Cup

The national football league resumed tonight with three crunch clashes, including a fascinating Division One derby between Tyrone and Derry.

The Ulster neighbours were actually propping up the top-flight table going into the third round of fixtures, so defeat at Omagh would come as a massive blow to either team.

Meanwhile, Breffni Park staged another all-Ulster meeting, with unbeaten Cavan hosting new-look Down.

And Waterford entertained Carlow at Dungarvan in Division Four - another game where victory for either side would underline their promotion credentials.

There was a lot at stake for all six counties and hoganstand.com's Match Tracker kept you bang up to speed as all the drama unfurled.
