Offaly sit at the top of the Division Four table tonight after inflicting a first competitive defeat of the year on Waterford at Tullamore.
The Faithful County won the top-of the table clash by 0-13 to 1-4, with Bernard Allen, Niall McNamee (3), Nigel Dunne (2) and Graham Guilfoyle pointing in the second half after the visitors had led by 1-3 to 0-5 at half time.
Elsewhere in the division, Carlow, Wicklow and Longford all recorded narrow wins to get their seasons up and running.
The Barrowsiders defeated London by 2-9 to 0-13 at Ruislip, where Hugh Gahan and Darragh O'Brien netted in the second half.
And the Garden County had a point to spare over Leitrim in Aughrim (0-11 to 0-10) as had Longford in vanquishing Antrim at Pearse Park (0-14 to 0-13).
