Munster club JHC final: Modeligo storm the Castle

Modeligo celebrate the Munster club JHC final victory over Castlemartyr in Mallow.

Modeligo's blitzed Castlemartyr with five goals to lift the Munster club JHC title in Mallow.

The Waterford champions were dominant throughout, taking a 3-6 to 0-6 lead into the break. Michael Troy hit a brace of first half goals, either side of a Tom Devine strike.

East Cork outfit Castlemartyr made a strong start to the second half, but a fourth Modeligo goal from Jamie Troy ended their comeback hopes. Devine grabbed his second goal late on to complete the rout.

Modeligo will now travel to Birmingham early in the New Year for the All Ireland club JHC quarter-final.
