Waterford minor hurling manager Derek Lyons admits that facing Kilkenny again in the All-Ireland MHC semi final is a case of déjà vu.

Last year the sides met at the same stage and on that occasion, it was Waterford that came out on top as they went on to win the All-Ireland title.

Lyons knows that this will be a huge task for his young guns, but he stressed to the Waterford News & Star that they are fully focused on the game.

"There is a touch of déjà vu about this year," states Lyons. "I know from talking to people in Kilkenny that their attitude is they are not going up to Croke Park to lose another semi-final to Waterford.

"If I'm being honest, we have a huge challenge ahead of us but I think it is a challenge we can surmount. We have the wherewithal to beat that Kilkenny team and perform better than we did against Dublin." Tweet
