Ryan feels there's more to come

Waterford captain Shane Ryan believes that they have up their game for the All-Ireland MHC semi final against Kilkenny.

Ryan told the Waterford News & Star that they have not produced anywhere near their best form all year and added that there is plenty to work on ahead of the semi final.

The Waterford skipper regained his place in the side having being dropped for the Munster final and he scored two goals to help them to victory over Dublin.

However, he believes that performance will not be good enough to beat Kilkenny the next day.

"I think we got out of jail, Dublin really put it up to us there. We haven't really hurled properly all year, I don't know what's happening maybe we're saving the best until the last. Hopefully, it comes very soon in the semi-final," said Ryan.

He added: "Kilkenny are probably licking their lips up in the stand looking at us. They will be waiting and a serious test."
