There will be a round of senior football championship fixtures played this evening (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday).

In an experiment by the Waterford CCC, it has been decided to play the fixtures midweek in order to see will they boost attendances.

There are three games down for decision this evening and they are the meeting of Ardmore and An Rinn at Bushy Park, while Kilrossanty take on Rathgormack at Fraher Field and Stradbally hosts the meeting of De La Salle and Nire.

Then on Thursday evening there are a further two games on as Ballinacourty play Clashmore at Fraher Field and St Saviour's do battle with Gaultier at Walsh Park.

There is one game down for decision on Friday evening and that is the meeting of Stradbally and Ballinameela at Fraher Field. Tweet
