Curran left disappointed
April 23, 2014
Waterford minor manager Oran Curran felt his side did enough to beat Tipperary in the Munster MFC at Dungarvan.
However, despite a huge effort particularly in the second half, Waterford's efforts fell short as Tipp ran out winners by four points.
Curran told the Waterford News & Star that he could not fault his players for the effort that they put in, but felt that they lacked the experience to see them over the line.
"In all areas of the field in the second half, we were on top. We never sat back, we kept on pushing. Probably a bit of experience, with the wrong choices taken at certain times," said Curran.
He added: "Hopefully we put to bed the thought that Waterford are an easy pushover. The skill sets that they have, the level of commitment that they are after showing, I couldn't have asked for anything more and we are very proud of them."
