Footballers bid to end campaign on high

April 02, 2014
Waterford footballers will be eager to finish their league campaign on a positive note when they take on Carlow at Fraher Field on Sunday afternoon.

A disappointing campaign saw the Déise pick up only three points from their six games to date and a defeat to Carlow could see them finish bottom of Division Four, which would not help morale in the squad ahead of the Munster SFC.

When the sides met last year, it was Waterford that came out on top and they will be hoping to record a similar result this weekend.

Waterford play Clare in the Munster championship on June 8th and the Banner will look set to head into the match as a Division Three league team.
