Eastern Football championships get underway

This weekend sees the start of the eastern football championships with three intermediate and three Premier junior games down for decision.

The intermediate football championship sees Portlaw and neighbours St Mollerans meet at Clonea, while Mount Sion play Bunmahon and Newtown take on Kilmacthomas at Kill.

In the junior championship, Kill play Naomh Pol at Lisduggan on Friday evening, while Erins Own and Ferrybank do battle at Poleberry. The last game of the weekend sees Ballyduff Lower play Roanmore.
