Wicklow kept alive their hopes of a return to Division 3 with a 2-14 to 0-12 victory over Waterford at Aughrim yesterday.

Full forward Seanie Furlong was in impressive form for the home team and his two goals in the final quarter put clear daylight between the sides for the first time.

Wicklow held a 0-8 to 0-4 half time advantage. Waterford had Tony Grey sent off on a black card just before the break after a challenge on Conor McGraynor which resulted in a penalty. However, Leighton Glynn put the penalty wide.
