Forristal, John
October 12, 2010It is with deep sadness we record the death of well known John Forristal of Abbey Park, Ferrybank who passed away on Tuesday morning last October 5.
Aged 61, John was involved in GAA all of his life, with local clubs in the area. A plumber by trade, he worked as a fitter in Kromberg & Schubert on the industrial Estate and was also well known on the traditional band scene. His wife Kay, sons Tommy, Brendan and Eoin and daughter Lorriane and family survive John.
His remains reposed at his home until Thursday morning when the removal took place to the sacred heart church, Ferrybank for requiem mass at 12.00 noon, with burial taking place in St. Killian's cemetery. It was probably one of the largest funerals in Ferrybank for many years.
