Tipp and Kilkenny dominate All Stars

October 15, 2010
All-Ireland champions Tipperary and runners-up Kilkenny have claimed eleven of the All Star hurling team spots for 2010.

With six Tipperary men and five from the Leinster champions, the remaining four places went to Waterford (3) and a sole award for Galway.

Noel Connors at full back, Michael 'Brick' Walsh and John Mullane are included for the Munster champions, while Damien Hayes is included at centre forward for Galway.

Notably it is the first time since 2001 that Henry Shefflin is not in the team as his attempt to win an ninth successive award comes to an end.
