Waterford SHC: Gunners remain on course for six-in-a-row

Six-in-a-row chasing Ballygunner are joined by Mount Sion, De La Salle and Dungarvan in the Waterford SHC semi-finals.

Former Brighton soccer player Dessie Hutchinson scored six points, while free-taker Pauric Mahony shot 0-11 as the Gunners cruised to a 3-22 to 1-12 victory over Passage at Walsh Park on Saturday.

Evan McGrath posted 0-12 and Ian O'Regan saved a second half penalty from Maurice Shanahan as Mount Sion edged out Lismore on a 2-15 to 1-15 scoreline. Two goals from Eddie Meaney helped De La Salle to a 2-15 to 2-9 win over Roanmore, while a late Michael Kiely goal handed Dungarvan a dramatic 2-17 to 3-12 victory over Abbeyside in the last of the quarter-finals last night.
