Munster MHC: Flynn leads by example for Rebels

June 08, 2019

Cork's Issac Walsh and Joe Booth of Waterford

Captain Darragh Flynn was very much to the fore as Cork produced a strong second-half showing to see off Waterford in this evening’s Munster MHC clast at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The centre-forward sent over eight points (six frees) as the Rebel County came out on tops by 0-19 to 1-13 in the curtain-raiser to the senior fixture between the two counties.

The sides went in level at the break (Cork 0-10, Waterford 1-7) after Johnny Burke goaled for the Deise.

The Rebel County shaded the second-half exchanges by three points to keep their hopes of making the final alive.
