Well today is the day that the 2019 hurling and football championships really kicks off.
Yes, we had games last weekend and yesterday, but there is something different about the first Sunday where there are 12 games down for decision.
Of course, what whets the appetite the most is the start of the Munster SHC and if we are to have anything near the high quality of games that we had last year then we are certainly in for a treat.
There is action in one code or the other in all four of the provinces this afternoon as we bring you coverage from the Connacht SFC, Leinster SFC and SHC, Munster SHC and Ulster SFC as well as games in the Christy Ring and Nicky Rackard Cup.
