Waterford goalkeeper Aaron Beresford looks set to miss out on the Munster SFC opener against Clare next month.

The Ballinacourty shot-stopper dislocated his knee in club training and missed out on their Waterford SFC clash last weekend.

Ballinacourty manager Peter Queally told the Waterford News & Star that an ambulance was needed following the incident.

“Unfortunately, we had an unsavoury sight at training on Friday night where we had an ambulance in the field,” said Queally.

“Aaron dislocated his knee so an ambulance crew had to pop it back in and bring him down. After the scans and x-rays, there’s nothing broken. He’ll see a specialist in the coming week. Hopefully, the news won’t be too bad for him and for us.”
