Ballygunner are just 60 minutes away from completing a five-in-a-row of Waterford SHC titles after trouncing neighbours Passage by 25 points in today's semi-final at Walsh Park.

County star Pauric Mahony fired 1-11 for Fergal Hartley's men as they cruised to a 3-23 to 1-4 victory and yet another county final appearance against Abbeyside - who will be appearing in their first decider in a decade - in Dungarvan on October 7.

Mahony posted 0-8 in the first half to help the champions to a 0-15 to 1-3 interval lead, with Conor Drohan netting for an outclassed Passage in the 17th minute. Conor Power raised Ballygunner's first green flag shortly after the restart before a Mahony long-range free went all the way to the net.

Sub JJ Hutchinson completed the rout with a third goal in the final minute of normal time.
