There will be no complacency in the Tipperary side that takes on Waterford in the Munster SFC on Saturday evening according to Tipp manager Liam Kearns.

The Kerry native feels that they would be foolish to take the Division Four side for granted. Kearns turns to last year's provincial clash between Waterford and Cork to prove his point.

On that occasion, Waterford looked set to beat the Rebels and cause a major surprise, but Cork just got over the line by the narrowest of margins and Kearns told the Tipperary Star that he was keen to avoid a similar game.

"I was in Fraher Field last year and they had Cork beaten, really," said Kearns. "Waterford could and should have beaten Cork in Fraher Field and Cork beat us two weeks later in the semi-final in Pairc Ui Rinn.

"So, Waterford are quite capable on their day of turning teams over. They play with a system that is difficult to break down. They get lots of men behind the ball; they are very comfortable with it (their system); they are using it for the last few years and they have good players. They have a decent team and they have a system that they are playing all the time. If we don't turn up and perform we will be beaten - I would say that is the bottom line on it."
