A charity hurling game between the Kilkenny and Waterford legends will take place in Kilmacow today at 6pm.

Kilkenny's DJ Carey, Charlie Carter, Noel Hickey, Eddie Brennan, Tommy Walsh and Henry Shefflin, and Waterford's Ken McGrath, Tony Browne, Eoin Kelly, Fergal Hartley, Paul Flynn, John Mullane and Dan Shanahan are expected to line out in the match with the proceeds going to Teac Tom and Pieta Waterford.

Micheal O Muircheartaigh will greet the players, while current stars TJ Reid of Kilkenny and Waterford's Austin Gleeson will act as linesmen.

"It is a very important event, everyone is affected by mental health and people can identify with these GAA players. We need to send a message out that there are safe places to go and get help," said Kilkenny hurling boss Brian Cody, who recently launched the event along with Waterford great Jim Greene.
