Cork boss John Meyler is hopeful of having Mark Coleman back for Sunday's Allianz League Division 1A meeting with Waterford at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The All Star defender has been unavailable for the Rebels' first three league outings with a hamstring problem, but Meyler is optimistic over a return for the Blarney clubman this weekend.

Having missed out on the Munster champions' defeat to Clare last weekend, Alan Cadogan and Conor Lehane should also be available for the Deise men's visit to Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

"I am expecting a massive match against Waterford," Meyler is quoted saying by the Irish Examiner. "Every game we have gone out to win and so there'll be no change in that respect. Being 11 points down at half-time was disappointing. The 20 minutes of the first half where we didn't perform can't happen again.

"I said from day one we need to be competitive and try and introduce one, two, three players and bring them through to championship. That is the bottom line."
