Mayo's Aidan O'Shea gets a tackle in on Cathal Compton of New York
Today marked the start of the 2019 championship season, with two Connacht SFC quarter-finals going down for decision on foreign soil.
The first SFC game of the summer saw London entertain reigning provincial champions Galway at Ruislip (3:00pm), while Mayo were even further afield ... they locked horns with New York at Gaelic Park.
Galway and Mayo awee red-hot favourites to advance but their hosts were hoping to throw a spanner or two in the works. Could either of the overseas units spring a surprise?
