How's this for commitment and desire to play Gaelic Football? Johnny Ziomek travelled all the way from Houston Texas to play in the FEXCO Asian Gaelic Games in Bangkok. 

"It took around 30 hours," says Johnny who hooked up with old pals on the Seoul Gaels Exiles team. "It's like the greatest experience of your life, I'm 42 and I might as well be 22."

Johnny was not alone, because others travelled from the likes of San Diego and South Africa to take part, and in total there were 33 different nationalities represented. Kerry woman Lillian Morrell played alongside girls from Uganda, China and the Phillipines on the Johor team from Malaysia. 

And then there's the Kerry man who married an American girl he met in Kuwait and they both now play for Shanghai Gaels!
