Ladies Gaelic Football is booming in Southern California, if the enthusiasm and standard at the recent West Coast Sevens in San Diego is anything to go by.  

Teams from San Francisco, Chicago, Orange County and San Diego all took part in two days of competition at the superb USA Olympic Training Center. 

"It's amazing, the new pitches are absolutely unreal," says Claire Travers from the Aisling Gaels in Chicago, while Cork woman Danielle Downey lifted the Senior cup for the Fog City Harps and is now aiming to repeat the success at the US GAA Finals.
