"The grass is perfect, you'd be lucky to get it in Semple Stadium" - Galway man Eoin Costello praising the new Olympic venue for the West Coast Sevens played in San Diego at the weekend. 

Now in its fifth year, the popular competition moved to the superb USA Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, near the border with Mexico, and players from clubs as far apart as Texas, Colorado and Chicago were impressed. 

"For a small tournament, this is as good a set-up as you would get at any national tournament," said Costello (from Athenry) after captaining St Peter's to a hurling title. "It brings everything to a new level".
