The GAA has released a list of the people appointed to serve as chairpersons to its Central Committees from 2018-2021.

Kilkenny's Ned Quinn will chair the Competitions Control Committee while Matt Shaw from Westmeath chairs the Hearings Committee and Brian Rennick (Meath) is chairman of the Appeals Committee.

Also appointed by new GAA President John Horan are Willie Barrett (Tipperary, Referees' Development); Donal Smyth (Meath, Referees' Appointments); Colin Morgan (Cavan, Financial Management); John Murphy (Sligo, Infrastructure), Ciaran McLaughlin (Tyrone, Games Development), Liam Keane (Meath, Rules Advisory), Dick Clerkin (Monaghan - Medical, Scientific & Welfare).

David Hassan from Derry chairs the Standing Committee on Playing Rules and Wexford's Sheamus Howlin will chair the Insurance & Risk Management Committee. Others named are Fergal P.McCormack (Down, Audit); Jimmy O'Dwyer (Dublin, Hurling Development); Paddy Flood (Monaghan, Officer Development Committee); Micheál Martin (Wexford, Fixtures Analysis Committee; Sean Dunnion (Donegal, IT); Seamus Woods (Tyrone, Post Primary Schools Council); Brendan O'Brien (London, Coiste Na bhFeilte); Mick Rock (Roscommon, Club Committee).
