Tara Camogie notes

October 02, 2017

Tara Senior Camogie team beat Croydon on Saturday in Mitcham in the last of the championship group games. There was nothing easy about this match between the old rivals. From the start it was a tough game with plenty of battles in all areas of the field. With a level score at half time, Tara came out gunning for it after the break scoring 7 points without reply. There was some fantastic scores from Claire Ryan, Eilis O Neill and Niamh Gaff. Croydon didn't give up and with 5 minutes remaining they scored 2 goals within 2 minutes of each other to level the game. Clare Ryan won the puck out and won a free to win the game by a single point. This means Tara top the group and face Fr Murphy's in the semi-final this weekend.
