With nothing less than a win required our senior team ensured their status in Division 2 for next season with a 3-7 to 0-6 win over Cuchulainns in the Scrubs on Saturday. It was good to get the win in our final game before the championship.

The team was: Gerry Lynott, Matthew Healy, Paddy Donaghy, Luke Kelly, Ronan Gaughan, Aidan Donaghy, Kavan Fitzpatrick, Sean Killeen, John O'Connor, Paul Keenan, Shane Buckley, Lawrence Weir, Ian McDermott, Patrick Lynott, Alfie McNulty.

Subs: Shane O'Hare, Ryan O'Connell, Laurence Kimberley.

 

Save the following dates in the diary now that the Junior Championship starts in two weeks time. The group fixtures all take place at Tir Chonaill Gaels, Berkeley Avenue, Greenford, UB6 0NZ and have been confirmed as follows:

 

Round 1 v Bros Pearse - 4.30pm, Saturday 5th August

Round 2 v Thomas McCurtains - 4.30pm, Saturday 19th August

Round 3 v Tir Chonaill Gaels - 2.00pm, Saturday 2nd September

 

Commiserations to our U14s who lost to out to Thomas McCurtains in the Championship final last week in a tight game but as usual they did the club proud!

 

St Claret's Dinner Dance this year has been booked for Saturday 18th November so there's another date for the diary. More details to follow in due course.
