Reserve Team:

Harlesden Harps have their next fixture in the AIB Reserve Football League this coming Friday 26th of May against Parnells. Throw in for the game is at 7:15pm.

 

In order to have a proper warm up and preparation, aim to get to the venue at Northwick Park, The Fairway, Wembley, HA0 3TQ in plenty of time. Let's hope for a big turnout and to continue on from last weeks excellent result in the competition.

 

As usual, make sure you check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and ensure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the game.

 

Previous Match:

The Harps reserve team opened up their league campaign with a well-earned win over Taras last Thursday. A close game throughout, with the awful playing conditions not helping either team, our boys adapted early to the game and got on top in the first half thanks to a fine goal finish from ace poacher Liam Holly and a crucial point blank save from Paudie Mescall in between the sticks. The second half was a more even affair but the Harps continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over and a late goal from Sean Howlin helped to seal the win on a scoreline of Harps 2-06 Taras 0-06. Let's keep up the good form in the next league game (see above for details).

 

Next Senior Match:

Harlesden Harps first team will hope to put their recent losses in the league behind them when they take on Parnells in their next game. The match will take place on Thursday, 01st June at 7:15pm at Northwick Park, The Fairway, Wembley, HA0 3TQ. The game offers a chance to get back to winning ways for the team and show improvement on the previous performance. Let's start the game well and give ourselves a chance of kicking off our league campaign.

 

Training:

Training continues this week taking place Tuesday and Thursday at 7:45pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along to this well-run club. If needed we can offer good jobs, along with accommodation and a social life to our members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged.
