Fr Murphys Hurling club notes

COMMITTEE MEETING:

Our first committee meeting of the year will be held on Friday 10th March at 8:30pm in The DOB club in Kilburn NW6 2EP. All committee members to attend.

TRAINING:

To start back week commencing 13th March at The Alec Reed Academy, Bengarth Road, Northolt, UB5 5LQ. Day and time TBA.

PRESENTATION NIGHT:

We will be holding a presentation night for our intermediate championship winning team. To be held on Saturday 1st April, 8:30pm in The Shamrock Club, Horn Lane, Acton W3 0BP (alleyway to club by Quattro skip hire yard). There will be a buffet laid on and music till late. Special guest in attendance. £5 admission by ticket or pay on the door. All welcome.

UNDERAGE:

Martin Harrell is in the process of starting up the underage hurling team. Initially there will be two teams that will cater for children aged between 5-12 years. If your child is interested in playing hurling, then please get in contact with Martin. Any parents interested in coaching or helping to set up the teams please come forward. All coaches will be CRB checked and go through child protection courses. Martin Harrell 07960503355.

BONUS BALL:

Saturday nights winner was David Donohoe with number 4. Only two numbers left for our bonus ball fundraiser. £2 a week over the year. Winning bonus ball number gets £50 winnings. Please contact a club member if you would like to join.

LADIES FOOTBALL AND CAMOGIE:

The ladies football and camogie club are back training Wednesday's at 7:30pm at Twyford Avenue Sports Ground, Twyford Ave, Acton, W3 9QA. Please contact Larry O'Leary for more details. The camogs are preparing for the Birmingham 9s early in March.

RECRUITMENT: 

2016 intermediate hurling champions are now recruiting for the 2017 season. Based in Ealing, West London, we are a very friendly and well run club. We have a fantastic social scene and very good training facilities. Our training ground has excellent transport links surrounding it, making us easily accessible from all parts of London. We can help set you up with work and accommodation, if needed.

As well as a senior hurling team, we have senior Ladies football and camogie teams based in West London. If you're serious about your GAA, would like keep fit, or would like to get involved with the running of a club then please contact us -
