London saga set to end

Ready for action at Ruislip

The dispute over the ownership of London GAA's former home should be resolved by mid-May.

A public enquiry was held earlier this month and a final decision is expected in the coming weeks over the ownership of the 13-acre site which has been lying derelict since 1992.

An Irish backed company called Novalong paid the London GAA £500,000 for the option to develop the area.

However, the planning proposal was rejected in 2007 and this led to Novalong filing a lawsuit against the GAA's four trustees of the grounds which was settled out of court.

A decision on the latest planning application will be revealed in the coming weeks, even though the site is up for sale for anyone willing to renovate it into a sports' grounds for the public's recreational use.
