Yorkshire SFC Final Preview

September 25, 2015

St Benedict's Harps v Hugh O'Neill's
(Sunday 27th September 2015 Beeston @ 1pm)
This year's Yorkshire's GAA showpiece is being contested between St Benedict's Harps and Hugh O'Neill's - who dethroned the champions from Newcastle (Cuchulainn's - their first defeat in this competition since forming in 2007) - with a 4-10 to 0-15 victory 2 weeks ago.

This is anticipated to be quite a tight contest, with both teams coming into form of late. Indeed, in their last 35 fixtures, the Harps have the edge, winning 19 of the games compared to O' Neill's 16. Sunday should prove an exciting contest between two of Yorkshire's Premier clubs this season.

St Benedict's Harps will be looking to make it fourth time lucky in this competition, and lift their first ever SFC title, along with their Junior A title they won back in June, after being defeated in the last 3 finals by Cuchulainn's.

Hugh O'Neill's have been here before and they know what it's like to win this title and they will be looking to add this title to the SFL they won back in May against the same opposition in a close encounter that could have went either way.
Get yourselves to Beeston (LS11 8RP) for what will surely be an exciting final where the winners will be representing Yorkshire at home in the All-Britain Junior Club Championship Q/F against the Scottish kingpins - Dunedin Connolly's (All-Britain Champions 2009) - in 2 weeks' time.
