GAA President Aogan O'Fearghail has revealed that two Croke Park officials will be travelling to London in order to understand the delay in the development of Ruislip.

The Irish TV Grounds in Ruislip is to undergo a major redevelopment and it was initially thought that the works would have begun by now.

However, the project which is been partly funded by Croke Park will not begin until May 2016 at the earliest, leaving many parties concerned frustrated by the lack of activity.

O'Fearghail admitted to the Irish Post that he didn't know why the redevelopment work was put back, but added that two delegates would be meeting with London GAA officials to discuss the matter.

"It's disappointing, anything that causes a project like this to be delayed is disquieting," stated the GAA President.

"We will be sending two senior delegates over to fully understand where the problem is, what the roadblocks are and how we can help to move it along.

"I look forward to hearing a full report from that, this remains a good project and still needs to happen."
