Eire Og London club notes

August 04, 2015

Last Saturday we took on St Anthony's in the second round of the Championship in Ruslip.

St Anthony's started the better of the two teams and built up a four point lead in the run up to half time. The referee did not allow the game to flow which disrupted our style of play game.  We had the wind in the second half but failed to close the gap on St Anthony's who went on to win the game, the final score was 0-7 to 1-10 in St Anthony's favour. We wish St Anthony's all the best for the rest of the season.

This week we shift our focus onto the clubs first ever final. We take on St Clarets in the Mularkey Cup final on Saturday at 4:30pm in Ruislip. It would be great to see all our members and supporters in Ruislip to cheer the lads on.

We will be running a Last Man Standing completion based on the English Premier League. Entry is £10 with a guaranteed prize fund of £500 for the winner. We will have more information on this in next week club notes.

The club are exploring the option of creating a quarterly newsletter and are looking for members to provide their input and create the content for the newsletter. If you are interested can you please speak to Johnny Costello.
