Harlesden Harps Club Notes

May 19, 2015

Cara Stationary League MatchHarlesden Harps started their league campaign with a well-deserved two point win over the Taras last Saturday, 16/05/15, with a 1-08 to 0-09 victory. Although the Harps were the dominant team throughout the encounter it took a couple of late points to ensure they left with maximum points from their opening league game. They grabbed hold of the game in the first half and got a vital lead with a typical clinical goal from sharpshooting corner forward Liam Holly. Taras managed to stay in touch through some converted frees and wayward shooting from the Harps (something to improve on), but the correct result was delivered in the end. Thanks to all who came along and the team needs to build on this positive result for their remaining league fixtures.
Upcoming FixtureHarlesden Harps continue their league campaign against St Joseph's this coming Thursday evening, 21/05/15, at 19:15 in Greenford. This game will be a chance for revenge for the Harps following their loss to the same opposition in the early season Murphy Cup. More importantly it will give the Harps a chance to build on their winning start to the league campaign. Please ensure you are at the venue in plenty of time to prepare properly for the match.
