St Clarets GFC London weekly notes

May 18, 2015

Good morning, hope you've all recovered from the weekend's celebrations. Here are the notes for this week

Congratulations to the Senior team who won the McCardle Cup on Saturday. We beat Thomas McCurtains 1-14 to 0-7. It was a great team effort but it was the youngsters who were the main scorers as Ryan O'Connell scored 1-4 (after scoring 1-3 for the minors the night before) and Shane Buckley who scored 0-6.

The team was: Gerry Lynott, Matthew Healy, Aidan Donaghy, Padraig Donegan, Lawrence Weir, Paddy Donaghy, Ricky Daly, John O'Connor, Sean Killeen, Eamonn Colleran, Shane Buckley, Tomás Gilmore, Ryan O'Connell, Cormac Fitzpatrick, Alfie McNulty. Subs Used: Eammonn Hughes, Aidan Bradshaw, Paul Keenan

Thanks to our vocal support who turned up in good numbers again.

Our concentration now turns too the league and we have our first league fixture on Tuesday against Shalloe Pearse. 7:15pm throw in at Greenford. Let's continue the good form

YOUTH

U12s Mini League Blitz - On Saturday our under 12s attended the Dulwich mini league blitz, we played 2 games, the lads played really well in both games. A big thank you to Dulwich for their hospitality and also to the parents that made a big effort to get the lads up there.

Congratulations to the Senior team on their McArdle cup win on Saturday. It was great to see so many of our youth parents and players who took time out to support the team.

Only one fixture this week: U14s league game vs North London Shamrocks, Friday 22nd May 7pm in Greenford.

The minor team had a league fixture against Parnells on Friday night. Unfortunately, the attendance was low so a challenge game was played instead. However, a good performance was put in by those there. Hopefully the boys will get the result next time with enough numbers.

We held our race night in Ye Olde Crowne on Saturday night. Thanks to those who supported this event which doubled up as a celebration party after the McCardle Cup final.
Thanks very much to the committee for organising this and especially Marie Hession and Jacinta Buckley for running the tote on the night.
