The club are hosting a 7's competition on Saturday 23rd May 2015 at Trafford MV RFC.  This should be a great day of football and an important day for the club.  I encourage all members to get behind this and make it a success by volunteering to help where possible.  Please contact Shane Walsh if you can spare time and help on the day.
Membership fees for players are now due for 2015 season.  Please contact our secretary Jonny Plant for more details.  Membership automatically enters you into our monthly Club Draw.  Stephen Sands is also collecting details for the new tracksuits, so please contact him ASAP as he is placing the order next week.
The junior team were beaten by John Mitchel's in the final of the Wolfe Tone Cup.  Mitchel's took their goal chances in the second half and prevailed winners.  Although disappointed with the defeat, the junior players gained from some early season match fitness. Congrats to Mitchel's, final score 3-10 to 2-08.
The senior team and new manager Sean mc Mahon have started the senior strongly with a win away to St. Lawrence's on 29th March; Brendan's were always in control despite the bad conditions.  The final Score was 3-06 to 0-05.  The seniors also notched a great win against John Mitchel's in the first game at Trafford MV.  Brendan's wasted numerous of chances but managed to hold and win by 2 points thanks to some fine goal keeping from Declan Alder.  Caolan Conroy scored a hat trick of goals which helped to seal the win.  The players showed great levels of fitness to win this one, with good performances from Greg Jacob, Stephen Rafferty, Paddy Murphy and Ryan Sweeney.  The final score 3-09 to 2-10.
The new pitch at Trafford is fantastic; the club can't praise the ground's man enough for his hard work and time in preparing the pitch.  We are lucky to also have great changing rooms and a bar for a pint and post-match discussion.  I would encourage all members to get down and support our adult team's home games more in the coming weeks.
