Here's our last football team of the week for 2014 ...

1. Ken Garry (Rhode)

The Offaly side's net-minder was kept busy in Pairc Tailteann and did well to restrict St Vincent's to just one goal during the course of the sixty minutes.

2. Kieran Fitzgerald (Corofin)

The Galway All-Ireland winner and his defensive team-mates limited Tir Chonaill Gaels to one point from play in Ruislip.

3. Hugh Gill (St Vincent's)

Superbly marshalled his full-back line and had the measure of Anton Sullivan who scored just one point for Rhode.

4. Philip Butler (Tir Chonaill Gaels)

The London champions gave as good as they got against Corofin in the first-half but faded badly after the resumption.

5. Brendan Egan (St Vincent's)

Egan was to the fore as the Marino side took the game to Rhode straight from the throw-in.

6. Ger Brennan (St Vincent's)

Dublin star Brennan got his hands on the cup after producing yet another commanding display at the heart of the St Vincent's defence.

7. Liam Silke (Corofin)

Silke and Corofin were given plenty of food for thought by Tir Chonaill Gaels and have room for improvement ahead of their last four clash against St Vincent's.

8. Daithi Burke (Corofin)

Burke and his midfield partner Ronan Steede laid the foundations for Corofin's improved second-half performance in the English capital.

9. Daithi Murphy (St Vincent's)

Murphy was the standout midfielder on view in Pairc Tailteann, particularly during the opening 30 minutes.

10. Gary Sice (Corofin)

Sice helped save Corofin blushes with an impressive second-half showing and accounted for all bar three of his side's final tally of nine points.

11. Diarmuid Connolly (St Vincent's)

The All-Star was on the receiving end of some special attention from Rhode but had the last laugh at the final whistle.

12. Shane Carthy (St Vincent's)

It would be a brave man who would bet against Carthy & co retaining the Andy Merrigan Cup in the new year.

13. Ruairi Trainor (St Vincent's)

Made way late on in Navan but the job was done as St Vincent's became the first club since Eire Og in 1996 to put Leinster Club titles back-to-back.

14. Mossy Quinn (St Vincent's)

The experienced full-forward got on the end of a Connolly pass to net the game's only goal in the 11th minute.

15. Ciaran Dorney (St Vincent's)

Spurned a couple of good goal chances but was a constant thorn in the side of the Rhode defence.
