St Barnabas GAC Club Nottingham - Club AGM - 5th Dec 2014

A good crowd gathered on Friday last the 5th December at the Greyfriars Social Club in Nottingham  for the St. Barnabas AGM. It was great to see all of the clubs teams well supported. The meeting opened with Paul Hegarty giving a review of the year, outlining many of the successes both on and off the field.

Treasurer Paddy McCaughy took to the floor and reported the club to be in sound financial health, thanks were given to members of the club and committee who had worked tirelessly organising numerous fundraisers and successful social events throughout the year. Particular thanks were made to the clubs lead sponsors EMC (East Midlands Civils) and MG Renewables for their tremendous support of the mens senior team and the ladies team respectively.

The addresses to the meeting were completed by Chairperson Nicola Lynch outlining her visions for 2015 with the continued development of the underage structure; one of the highlights of 2014 being high on the list. The challenge to all teams was set down to go one step further next year and build on the work of the men's hurling team who reached their first senior county final in the Autumn of 2014; the ladies team who put on one of the performances of the year in their county final and the men's senior team who again showed that they are more than capable of success in the premier competition in Warwickshire GAA.

Discussions and nominations for the 2015 committee followed with the below taking up positions. It was promising to see a good mix of new faces as well as some of the club stalwarts taking up positions on the committee which is a reflection of how well the club has done over the past few years and the `strength in depth` that is available.
