Shore won't learn his fate until 2015

It could be an anxious Christmas for Wexford hurler Andrew Shore, whose appeal against a one-year ban probably won't be heard until the New Year.

Shore is one of two players who were handed 48-week bans for playing in a tournament match for Birmingham club Roger Casements.

The Model County defender thought he had filed the necessary transfer papers but has been subsequently banned for a year by the British provincial board's CCCC.

Shore appealed to the Central Appeals Committee at home but has been told by them that his case will have to be ruled on by the British CCC again as they initially failed to give him the option of a hearing.
