Meath native Fergus McMahon is in the frame to take over as manager of the London senior hurlers.
The Irish World reports that McMahon - who captained the Exiles to Nicky Rackard Cup success in 2005 - is in the running to succeed Tommy Harrell who recently revealed that he was not interested in a second year at the helm.
36-year-old McMahon is an ever-present on the Robert Emmetts team in London and was one of their star players during the 2014 County Championship campaign.
The Irish World understands that McMahon, who has already discussed the job with the London County Board, is seriously considering the role but wants time to speak to potential trainers, selectors and players.
He has also asked to see copies of the 2013 and 2014 budgets before committing to the role.
