London captain Lorcan Mulvey admitted that he was bitterly disappointed by his own performance in the defeat to Limerick.

The sides met in the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers last weekend and the Shannonsiders held on for a narrow win after London threatened to stage a remarkable comeback in the second half.

However, Mulvey who is his own biggest critic felt that he didn't contribute enough during the match, even though he has produced the goods for the exiles on many occasions.

"I'm pretty disappointed with my own performance," Mulvey exclaimed to the Irish Post. "I usually add more to the fray than that. Injury wise I was near enough there but you need to be training all the time.

"The heat probably didn't help me but if there was something else missing I don't know, I just didn't show up, but I'll have to get over it and move on." Tweet
