April 21, 2014
The Claddagh Gaels come away undefeated in the Eire Og, Oxford 7's Tournament!

The Eire Og, Oxford 7s Tournament took place on Easter Saturday with competitions in ladies gaelic football, men's gaelic football and men's hurling.
The ladies competition saw five teams enter from Reading, Leicester, Oxford and two teams from Claddagh Gaels, Luton.

The Claddagh Gaels travelled to Oxford with 16 girls allowing for two teams to be entered - the Claddagh Whites and Claddagh Blacks.

Both teams performed very well on the day with the Claddagh Blacks working tirelessly throughout the tournament to be crowned undefeated champions.

It was a good day for Luton GAA as St.Dympnas GFC took home the men's Gaelic football trophy as well.

Claddagh Gaels Manager Bill Barrett, from Mayo, said "It was a fantastic start to the season for the Claddaghs and a great chance for all players to get a lot of match practice with us being able to enter two teams. We had a few youth players able to show how their commitment to training has paid off on the pitch. It was a fantastic day and we would like to thank Eire Og for hosting us."
