Another spirited performance in Greenford yesterday, Sunday, 12th May, saw us narrowly lose to St. Brendan's in Round 1 of the Division 2 Football League, with a score line of St. Joseph's 1-12 St. Brendan's 1-17. The Joes' spirit, which has been ever-present so far this year, shone through. The teams were 0-9 to 0-8 at half-time, and we can take lots of positives out of another solid performance, with every player, from goalkeeper to corner-forward, keeping us well in the game, right up until the last ten minutes.

The day was definitely a sad day for St. Joseph's, as it was the last game in the Blue and White for one of our longest-serving members, Michael Colleran, who is leaving London for pastures new in Canada. Mickey has given years of contribution and loyal commitment to the Joes and London GAA over a long and successful career. Hopefully, we will see Mickey back down Perivale-way in the future!

Best Wishes
After four years' loyal service, two Championship medals, two Cup medals, one Player of the Year award and countless hours of craic and banter, Cavan man, Alan 'Alfie' Fee has left us for Australia. On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to wish Alfie the very best of luck on his travels. We'll miss you, buddy.
