North London Shamrocks club notes

July 25, 2019

Six league games in and things are not going NLS' way. We're second bottom of the table with two points. These points were achieved last weekend with a comprehensive win over KKG by 5-11 to 3-07.  Unfortunately earlier this month we lost to Thomas Mc Curtains and (contentiously) to Neasden Gaels. Next up for the senior team are TCG on the evening of Thursday 25th of July.

The reserve team are switching focus towards the championship and the round robin games which will take place over the coming weeks. Upcoming games include Eire Og (Sat July 27th, Greenford); St Kiernans (Thurs Aug 1st, Tottenhall); and St Josephs (Sat Aug 10th, Greenford). Best of luck lads in defending the title.

Our home pitch in Tottenhall Road recently hosted a Youth Blitz on Saturday, June 15th with teams from all across London being represented. This was a fantastically represented event, with some real quality on show from the Youth GAA teams/clubs in London. The event was a huge success and even our local MP came to support it and tweet about its success!  We also had four NLS youths representing London in Croke Park last weekend in the All -Ireland QF. Well done lads and also to Mick Duffy who travelled over with them.

Details regarding our annual golf day will be announced soon. Keep an eye out for updates on facebook and twitter.

Training for the season continues and NLS are actively recruiting new players. If you're located in North London and interested in joining then contact management - Tom Kilcommons (07944 294795), or Kenny Fagan (07805 198158) or email [email protected]
