Tara Senior Camogie team beat Croydon on Saturday in the last of the championship group games. The final scoreline of 3-3 to 3-9 meant Tara finished top of the group with Croydon second. Croydon got off to a great start with 2 goals in the first ten minutes helping them to a 2 point lead at half time. Tara came out in the 2nd half all guns blazing and a few early points from corner forward Saoirse Glynn helped Tara gain the lead for the first time. 

Some great second half displays by centre back Fiona Morrissey, mid fielders Niamh Gaff and Tessa Crowley and Saoirse Glynn, who caused havoc in the Croydon full back line all day, helped Tara win by a 6 point margin. 

Tara will face amalgamated northern team Shire Gaels this Saturday in the semi final. Time TBC.
